Team Crusade to Train for the Louisville Triple Crown of Running

Team Crusade will have its first meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 to begin preparations for the Louisville Triple Crown of Running.  The WHAS-TV Crusade for Children has had a long relationship with the Louisville Triple Crown of Running with over $800,000 having been given to the Crusade from the event.

The Louisville Triple Crown of Running is a series of three races - 5K, 10K, and 10 miles - in March 2012.   The WHAS-TV Crusade for Children provides funds - over $5 million every year - for agencies that serve special needs children in Kentucky and southern Indiana.

The Triple Crown waives the $75 registration fee for the three events for Team Crusade members.  The members commit to raising $250 for the Crusade.

This year's coaches for Team Crusade are Renee Murphy of WHAS-TV news and Dr. John Wesley Slider of Breckenridge Chapel and the WHAS-TV Crusade for Children.
